Savka Marenić is an architect and artist who connects architecture and art through site-specific performative installations, education, writing, and shared experiences in public space. She holds a master’s degrees from the Faculty of Architecture in Prague and the Faculty of Architecture in Podgorica, Montenegro. She is currently a doctoral student at the Department of Fine Arts at the Academy of Fine Arts in Prague (UMPRUM), where she investigates the creation of situated narratives of space as a form of critical pedagogy and intervention. Through fieldwork, performative situations, and collective imagination, she explores how environments can be re-perceived, reinterpreted, and retold, proposing spatial narratives as an emerging form of participatory spatial pedagogy.
Her interventions, whether in architecture, public space, or gallery contexts, often involve textile-based spatial interventions, storytelling, performative gestures, (audio)listening practices, and participatory formats that foster collective engagement, shared experience, and co-creation within a space. She has collaborated with artistic, cultural, and educational institutions, collectives, and galleries across Montenegro, Serbia, Slovakia, the Czech Republic, Denmark, and New York.
