Savka Marenić is an architect and artist who connects architecture and spatial thinking through performative site-specific installations, education, speculative narratives, and shared experiences in public space. She holds a master’s degree from the Faculty of Architecture in Prague and the Faculty of Architecture in Podgorica, Montenegro. She is currently a doctoral student at the Department of Fine Arts at the Academy of Fine Arts in Prague (UMPRUM), where she explores the creation of situated spatial narratives through participatory situations, performative (audio) walks, and collective imagination as tools that can transform how environments are perceived, interpreted, and narrated. In her artistic research, she develops an engaged spatial pedagogy that highlights the marginal layers of the city, its movements, and relationships — those that often remain overlooked, unheard, or hidden, yet co-create the urban landscape.
Her interventions, whether in architecture, public space, or gallery contexts, often involve textile-based spatial interventions, storytelling, performative gestures, (audio)listening practices, and participatory situations that foster collective engagement, shared experience, and co-creation within a space. She has collaborated with artistic, cultural, and educational institutions, collectives, and galleries across Montenegro, Serbia, Slovakia, the Czech Republic, Denmark, and New York.
