Savka Marenić is an artist, architect, and PhD student at UMPRUM, Academy of Arts, Architecture and Design in Prague. She connects architecture with performative art, pedagogy, publishing, and site-specific interventions in public space. In her artistic research, she explores how fictional storytelling, embodied experience, and site-specific performance can shape the way we perceive and relate to spaces—and to ourselves. She investigates how fiction can become a tool for caring for places and communities. Drawing on methods of participation, imagination, speculation, and material practices such as textile-making, she examines the performative potential of public space and architecture, focusing on how vulnerable or neglected sites can be reimagined through narrative and gesture. She is founder of fairies, a textile slow practice focused on creating soft, interactive objects for adults and children, inspired by new fairytales.
