about
Savka Marenić is an artist, architect, and PhD student at UMPRUM, Academy of Arts, Architecture and Design in Prague. In her artistic research, she explores how fiction and performativity can be used to heal and transform public spaces while enhancing their community potential. Savka connects architecture with public pedagogy, performative art, fiction, and site-specific interventions in public spaces. She investigates the performative aspects of public space and architecture, focusing on how vulnerable and overlooked areas/buildings can be perceived and rediscovered through fictional and performative narratives. She is founder of fairies, a textile slow practice focused on creating soft, interactive objects for adults and children.
