The Prague City Gallery organized a conference exploring how we experience the present and history through art in public space. Through a series of selected contributions, the conference To Whom? For What? asked who and what artistic activities—whether permanent or temporary—serve in the public space of the 21st century.

The presentation Cloak: Performative Storytelling as Care introduced methods developed through artistic research and new approaches to public space. Using fiction and performative gestures, it explored how care for space can be expressed and how relationships can be formed and transformed between communities, individuals, non-human actors, and the shared environment we inhabit. It focused on vulnerable spaces and proposed how speculative fiction and collective storytelling can become tools for healing, reimagining, and cultivating these spaces.
