The one-day workshop was designed to engage children in understanding the dynamics of cities and the importance of urban planning. By observing the city and its surroundings and examining the various elements that form a city, children had a task to create collages, drawings, and paper models which should represent their own imaginary cities. This exercise allowed them to think critically about the layout, design, and functionality of urban spaces. Through engaging in discussions and activities, they gained a deeper understanding of the need for green spaces, better public spaces, and environmentally friendly infrastructure.
