In November 2024, Prague celebrated 50 years of metro line C with the “Festival for Passenger Audiences” (Festival pro cestující diváctvo), organized under the auspices of Dopravní podnik Praha and the Prague City Gallery. Artistic interventions took place at several stations, responding to the architecture of the metro and the public space around it.
In this interview, interviewer Lenka Štěpánková speaks with the authors of two audio walks at Vyšehrad station: Whisper in the Valley (Šepot v údolí) by Savka Marenić, and Utopia (Utopie) by Ludvík Píza and Anna Datiashvili. The conversation explores why they chose the audio walk format, how collaboration between performers, audience and place works, and how storytelling can offer new ways of perceiving and caring for public space.
