In the Elbe flat landscape, the hill Vinice is direct proof of how man influences the land’s morphology. It is a hill created by waste reclamation, which immediately becomes an object in the cultivated landscape. While standing on top of the hill, there is a feeling of emptiness.
By supplementing the existing vegetation, we create a closed vegetation circle around the hill, a circle that represents a sacred common space. It consists of wild plants, herbs, and grasses, able to grow even in a very dry environment. The varied composition of plants will revive the landscape visually and generically, providing refuge and food to the local fauna. In addition, plant roots help maintain and restore slope, which makes the whole structure of the hill stronger.
V polabské rovinaté krajině je kopec Vinice přímým důkazem toho, jak člověk ovlivňuje morfologii krajiny. Je to kopec vytvořený rekultivací odpadu, který se hned stává objektem v kultivované krajině. Když stojíte na vrcholu kopce, máte pocit prázdnoty.
Doplněním stávající vegetace vytváříme kolem kopce uzavřený vegetační kruh, kruh, který představuje posvátný společný prostor. Tvoří ho divoké rostliny, byliny a trávy, které jsou schopné růst i ve velmi suchém prostředí. Pestrá skladba rostlin vizuálně i druhově oživí krajinu a poskytne útočiště a potravu místní fauně. Kořeny rostlin navíc pomáhají udržovat a obnovovat svah, což celou strukturu kopce zpevňuje.
